Definium's LSD Candidate Beats Analyst Expectations in Second Phase 3 Win This Summer
Definium's single-dose LSD candidate DT120 hit the primary and key secondary endpoints of its Phase 3 Voyage trial for generalized anxiety disorder, producing a 5.4-point placebo-adjusted reduction in anxiety symptoms (p<0.0001) — one of the strongest results ever recorded in a GAD trial. Louisiana's Psychedelic Therapy Pilot Program Is Now in Effect
A Louisiana law creating a state-run psychedelic therapy pilot program took effect August 1, 2026, funded by opioid settlement dollars rather than new taxpayer spending. The program will study psilocybin, ibogaine, and MDMA for opioid use disorder and treatment-resistant mental health conditions, with a 20% state revenue-share if any resulting treatment reaches market. Rep. Neil Riser, a sponsor, pointed to veteran suicide rates as part of the case for the bill.

Two Years After Rejection, MDMA Therapy Is Back Before the FDA
Resilient Pharmaceuticals has resubmitted its new drug application for MDMA-assisted therapy for PTSD, nearly two years after the FDA's 2024 rejection. Rather than running an entirely new Phase 3 trial, the company leaned on existing third-party and VA research plus a new Phase 1 safety study and a fresh audit of prior data. MAPS founder Rick Doblin called it vindication: "We knew the FDA wasn't saying no, just not yet."
